My survey on teenagers in Banstead and its crime rate
Below are some of the questions that i asked when i was conducting my research on Banstead interview. They show the responses and the percentage of people whom answered what to which questions.
This first question here shows individuals responses to them thinking that Banstead is a lovely area, despite it being middle town it is usually always emphasised to be a upper class and clean area for semi wealthy people to shop in the exclusive range of boutiques which they have in the high street.
50% of the individuals answered to believing that Bansetad is a middle class town which would also suggest that they have a low crime rate and the area is regarded fairly safe.
50% of those whom answered the survey believe that the town manages to disguise the crime which happens within it. This may also be a good reason why the first question was answered fairly positively and this is because it is portrayed as a middle - upper class town, you would be none the wiser to any crime or dangerous situations that happen in Banstead.
80% of the participants in this survey stated that there are not enough activities for teenagers to engage in within the Banstead community. This may have the loitering effect on teenagers as in their free time they have nothing else to do but go out, meet their friends and get up to mischievous situations. This could also be why teenagers go around terrorising and causing trouble in the area due to their lack of activities which leads them being drowned in boredom.
60% of the participants of this survey admitted that they do not have a part time job and this may be the reading why teenagers go around stealing behaving recklessly. The fact that they do not have a job indicates that their behaviour may turn greedy and disrespectful towards things that they do not own and that they do not have in their possession. Also the fact that they do not have a part time job will be the reason why they have a lot of free time, doing nothing productive at times like the weekends or half term holidays which means that they have plenty of time to be seeking that thrill that they're looking for or exploring new places and experiences new things whether they be dangerous or not.
The fact that they do not have a job disguises the acknowledgement of real hard work. they are unable to understand the true meaning of a days work and that money is not an unlimited source but if you want it you have to work for it or in some cases earn if it it may be a gift from parents etc. and this shows their lack of discipline and their immature mindset which they think is smart and sneaky.
